Do you know what I knew I had seen something along the lines of my image and it is exactly that poster! I remember seeing it at an exhibition at the NRM, thanks for the mental prompt!

Best of luck to all who put money in the kitty for Union of South Africa on the Edinburgh Flyer. I hope you all had a grand day out. It's a fantastic loco and a shame that J.C. isn't willing to sell to another owner to give 60009 more hope. What's putting J.C. off from giving 60009 another 10 year stint after this 14 month extension or is it possibly the future of the coal industry in 5 years time:)

Just popped to have a look at seeing show No. 9 was doing in RTT and heard the whistle as she passed through Northallerton bang on time before getting that she was on time from RTT!

A big thank you to everyone who has shared their outstanding shots of No.9 on this thread. A nice tonic to feeling absolutely crap at the moment due to the hayfever that has taken hold. Bloody hot weather!

We had the good fortune of being near the front all day, and whilst the dry conditions may have presented a challenge in the Grantshouse area, there was plenty to savour. My thanks go to all those who made it happen, and here's hoping for another one or two trips with 60009 before the final curtain-call. Also, there are some pretty sensational pictures on here.

My poor offering as she passed Tursdale in the morning.

We followed her up to Alnmouth station, but were bowled by a southbound LNER service. Ah well... She did sound grand though - whistle wide open as she shot through the station!

Those were a lovely collection of video clips. Thanks for being there and taking the time to post them. Clearly it wasn't a trip for devotees of loco performance but sometimes there is more to a day out with steam than just that and this was one of them.
