Ten days to go! Can you tell i'm excited to be on this trip! It looks like Tornado will be ready as she is not due to haul another railtour until this one. Does any one know if there has been a running in turn to prove all ok with the repair? Also has anyone heard if Alycidon will be ready? Is there another Deltic that could/has been earmarked as a first reserve if 009 doesn't make it, RSG for instance?

    Thanks for any replies.

9009 competed 60mph running tests as East Lancs early last week, they were done with 55002 at the same time.

RSG is always a great replacement for any tour.

See separate thread. There's also details on the A1 website but obviously no timings.

Was discussing this very issue with my family members who are booked on it this morning. Nothing yet, but I would hope that we'll hear by the weekend

That sounds very similar to the earlier provisional times I'd been told - 1000/1830 at Darlington. Good news for my gang if confirmed

Come along now, there's still a whole TWO working days before the tour runs. That's early days for most tour promoters.

Has it not been tested yet then ? Is there a test scheduled ? It'll be tight if it doesn't pass. If not, what are the likely alternatives, D9000 ?

Depends what the Diesel leg timings are, if it's indeed timed to 100MPH then only 55022 or a 67 can sub for D9009.
