    From what I heard on Sunday, hopefully the K4. 45231 has just left heading for Southall, so that makes it more likely.

    This is the first time I've seen the K4 this year so it was a pity the weather didn't play ball. It was particularly dull at Dandry Mire in the morning (LINK), and not a lot better at Crosby Garrett later in the day (LINK).

    Great little loco all the same.

    Not sure, but it stopped just shy of the bridge at Greengates. As far as we could see, they had the smokebox door open and were seen clearing out the ash build up.

    Did us a favour, as when it did set off again, it passed us in some glorious light (photo to follow tomorrow).
