Yes, and that's advice that could well be applied generally.

The steam charter business is under scrutiny currently. All those who post on NP will presumably have an interest in it continuing without curtailment. Whether you travel the trains, photograph them or film them from the lineside (or the train), it's just plain daft, in my view, to take the stance of "well that's what I enjoy doing so I'll continue to do it". That applies just as much to folk who stand where they shouldn't by the lineside or are too visible a presence on the train.

I don't believe the ORR has finished with this steam business yet so perhaps caution is a good maxim - be it Jacobite, Fellsman or whatever.

Well it is Richard Harnetty so what do you expect.....I'm surprised that he didn't shout at those photters who moved in front of him, after all he is a professional video producer. :Snaphappy:

    Lovely photos as always Shep.

Just got back from another weeks work with Owls just over the border into Scotland and also in Northumberland. In Scotland a lot of radio time being given to that old favourite carol, "In the bleak mid summer".

Has anyone seen which steam loco is working today's train? Solo or with assistance?
