Some details of the 2017 Fellsman series have appeared.
    http://statesmanrail.com/fellsman.html

It looks like they will run on Tuesdays, rather than Wednesdays as has been the case in previous years, but there appear to only be five advertised, which seems unusual considering the high booking rate Statesman have managed in the past.

Is Statesman now part of the Crewe based portfolio of heritage operations?

If you bothered to look at the detail....
The train is steam hauled throughout and the locomotive will be chosen from the historic pool of engines based at Carnforth including: LMS Royal Scot 46115 ‘Scots Guardsman’ – LMS Jubilee 5690 ‘Leander’ – LMS Stanier Black Five 44932 – LMS Jubilee 45699 ‘Galatea’.

If you bothered to read my post you would see that doesn't answer the question I asked, but does answer @ribble.
My reason for asking about Statesman is that their branded stock seems to be stored at Crewe alongside the Diesel Depot now operated by Icons of Steam/ LSL.

Maybe they are being cautious after WCRC's well-publicised difficulties and then the S&C being shut for the whole summer? They need to see how strong the market is now. If these trips sell well, they can presumably add more dates later. Tht's better than advertising a weekly programme and later having to cancel some.

In my many years of viewing the Fellsman departing Lancaster of a Wednesday morning I have never seen anything bar WCRC stock in the consist.

I think Statesman have (had) their own rake of stock (in Pullman livery?) for their diesel charters, which they're hiring back for their current programme, 'The Fellsman' always used WCRC stock.

Maybe fitting in with yet to be announced SSE and Dalesman programmes? The latter was mainly Thursdays over S&C IIRC, with some Tuesdays as well.

There are a series of mid-week daytime blocks between Hellifield and Clitheroe/Daisyfield, which have caused the reduced number of trains. Nothing more complicated than that, as Statesman certainly would run more, if they could.

They are WCR-operated jobs, as previously - all that has changed is the ownership of the Statesman company and its assets.

A cracking sight and sound as LMS 8F Class 2-8-0 No. 48151 speeds away from Garsdale with the return leg of 'The Fellsman' back to Lancaster
