Excellent Steve - wish I could deal with wind noise as you seem able to. Also good to see some common sense if the 37 was added to avoid a dangerous slip in the conditions.

Good stuff Steve and Chris, here's my effort from Hoghton Tower. I drove up to Helwith Bridge for another shot but got fed up with the cold and rain after just over an hours wait.

Great selection of shots and videos as usual, now that the summer tours are over I must get my cameras out again....

looks in fine fettle John, a complete contrast to the appearance as it struggled to get away from Lancaster this morning, mind you it was blowing a gale (almost) and with occasional showers.nice bit of clag there, and a glint of the setting sun, nice one.

well it just left Lancaster 10 mins early, slipping and sliding, third time it slipped the 37 revved and away it went chuffing nicely.

Just before this year's Fellsman tours get started, here's a quick reminder of last year's trips. 5690 Leander makes a steady climb to Ais Gill on 1st Sept with a substantial load in beautiful evening light.

    Clip on YouTube.

Also included are a couple of shots of Leander on The West Higlander on 3rd Sept. These are some shots that didn't make it onto the latest Steam Age Pictures disc, but were too good to leave on the cutting room floor.

Perhaps before we get carried away someone should make a FELLSMAN TOURS 2011 thread?
