A problem with the stock has delayed today. We will be at least one hour adrift when we eventually get going. As for what happens next, who knows. By the way, it will be the K1 plus a diesel to Craigendoran as was always planned. But it will be diesel onwards as well. It's dry up here.

Think the Black 5 is waiting for you at Dumbarton but not confirmed...

45212 is indeed in Dumbarton, along with 37685. No idea if it's going on to Fort William with the train or if it's going up separately.

Heading back to FW but not with us I don't think. But who knows? For WCRC today I am sure it's the art of the possible.

Just to add, 45212 now has a headlamp on its upper bracket and appears to be ready to move off. When I got here 25 mins ago, there was a tail lamp and little sign of life.

45212's moved with its POB I to the station loop.

No sign of life from Queen Street?!

Fire risk. ScotRail has declared the WH a no go area for steam. Black 5 will have to have a pilot to FW. Our Cl47 will stay on the back.

It was all about the journey today. Blue skies and stunning scenery plus the welcome absence of a green corridor with the trees not yet in leaf. And Peter Walker even put a bit of steam on for the photographers in the important places.

We caught up quite a lot of time on the run north and are planning to leave on schedule. West Coast has been very slick with the loco release and shunt moves. Now TNT back to Glasgow.

Gold stars to everyone and the weather Gods!

Somewhat belatedly, a couple from a 'well known location, somewhere in Scotland' from Sunday morning.

(If you know what you are looking for, both of the Royal Navy's new aircraft carriers are 'visible' either side of the 3rd bridge pillar from the left)
