    45231? Black five has been on the Hadrian recently so maybe 75mph ability is not so important. Assuming the A4 is a dud of course.

    It is reported aboard the train that the damage to 60009 (hot wheel bearings) is so severe that it will need to be returned to Crewe by road.

    Sad news about the thoroughbred.No 9 was the engine that rescued the steam scene in recent times with its availability.
