You'd be arrested for putting a dog out in that weather, never mind a Princess.

S'okay, let it rain.................no fire risk. If it was tinder dry 6201 would be tucked up in 10A and a diesel loco would be on the front.

That's true. It was only a couple of weeks later than this that the ban kicked in, in the second week of June last year.

Lucky for us on the way back the low cloud set in on the cumbrian hills and we got a fair downpour climbing out of carlisle and 6201 having difficulty getting its pace toward armathwaite but picked up as we got past lazonby kirkwald on wet rails!!!(diesel unassist i would like to see lizzie attack the long drag on a 11 coach load if 10A lads trusted 6201 out on its own).

Not a case of trusting 6201 as she hauled 12 coaches unassisted a few weeks back over the S&C on the 1st Dalesman.

Hold fire Dave, just remember 6201 is pretty much fresh out of the workshop after some major repairs over the last few months, the time will come so just be patient.

What a cracking 2 minutes that was! Generally speaking I'm not one to edit or post my footage straight away (if at all) so it's still in the 'to do' pile. Still not posted 70000 on Copy Pit from last December yet ;)

It has been said by some that 'real enginemen don't wear greasetops' I think the still from the video disproves the saying.
