Haven't been to this spot for some time but not a bad spot for filming/photography when I last went. I'll be on board this time though.

The crossing is just above the rear loco. Unless you're trespassing and standing trackside, you won't get much of a shot from there. The view from the bridge is ok, and the sun should be high enough not to shadow out the slow line. I prefer the shot from the bridge in the background, but it's currently shut for rebuilding.

If the sun's out, it's very difficult photographing northbound trains on the MML in the morning. Long range forecast suggests sun won't be a problem though! Radwell Road, just west of Milton Ernest, may be another option if the sun's out though.

Thanks Geoff. I've lost track of how many bridges are shut at the moment!

We've had a few steam tours over Sharnbrook in recent years. The real interest this Sunday is the first few miles out of St P. I seldom venture into the 'burbs, but I think it might be worth it this time. Any suggestions for good video locations? And for places to avoid?!

http://roadworks.org/ suggest that the bridge you refer to in the background should re-open on Saturday. Any ideas if the work is on schedule?

They could activate any one of the regular daily slots they have on the system.

The return times are on RTT.

Sadly won't be out for this on Sunday, working in the morning and then can't get anywhere vaguely decent to see it in the evening (and need to be back home for work at 6 the following morning!).

I know it's unlikely, but is there any chance of 46115 being rostered on another trip before heading back to Carnforth?! :)
