The load is reduced to 7 for this trip, no need to worry with the great engineman Ray Churchill on the regulator everything will be fine, he told me yesterday he will be driving.

KEYHAMTRAIN. Excellent photos. Beautiful sunny day AND with exhaust helps, and my fav would be the fourth one with all the streams of onlookers, obviously interrupting their sea coast walk for an unexpected treat (except those who knew of course!)...Pete

My footage of yesterday's Duchy, seen at Beam Bridge (Wellington Bank), Dainton, St Germans Viaduct and Hemerdon.

    Enjoy :)

Here’s my video, taken at Whiteball (Beambridge), Powderham and Moorswater on the outward run, Largin and Hemerdon on the return.

In the foreground of KristianGWR's last clip, is that the top end of a fencepost made from Brunel bridge rail?

Yes, it is. There are still many lengths of old broad-gauge rail in use in railway fences alongside GW lines. They're usually found at corners and where a straining post is required.

Nice clips but I'm confused. You list five locations but the video only features two.

    Nope, plays fine here.

Really lovely shots though Keith, in particular the Moorswater shot.

I was on the train also and was told 8 by the RTC train manager, so who knows!! We'll find out on Sunday, either way it will be an interesting run.

Fine run from No.9 last week. Even time Yatton to Taunton, storming run in Cornwall on the way home then posted what I believe is the third fastest time in preservation on Hemerdon. The other highlight was 78 mph climbing Whiteball Eastbound, "try doing that with one of ours" to paraphrase a Western Region inspector in 1947.

Since 60009's performance up Hemerdon was something rather special, I've decided to give it its own video.

    Enjoy :)

Lovely stuff. Rather dismisses the theory held by some that A4s can't climb hills.

Black '5' 44932 arrived on time into Bristol this afternoon. For the photographers amongst us, the stock appears to be a similar
combination as last week as far as the livery is concerned. Maroon + green + maroon + green on the front heading west. <BJ>
