    Thanks for sharing those from Crewe, some great shots there.

    One of Bill and Frank at Carlisle. It was a bit busy when we arrived and difficult to get into a decent position for a photo!

    Not too much on here about Frank and Bill leaving the steam scene but if two other railwaymen have given us plebs more pleasure through their sheer professionalism over the years then I don't know them. They were pestered by every Tom Dick and Harry at Carlisle, trying to get their Royal Scot booklet signed and did it all with a smile. Good luck to both of them. By the way I was one of those doing the pestering.

    Certainly agree about the pleasure Bill and Frank have given us over the years, a hard act to follow. Amongst the many fine photo's and videos from yesterday, Neils shot of them at Carlisle is one to treasure. Many years of experience etched on their faces.

    My video offering is now uploaded at;

    Well those two clips are stunning Austin, classic locations, good weather, and 6233 performing at her best.

    Brilliant shots all. For me yesterday was possibly the best run I've had on the mainline behind steam. It was an absolute joy to watch 6233 storm up Shap with 13 + a diesel from the front window. I think I was sharing with you Ralph? I was the youngish lad with the green jacket and white hoodie. It was tiring standing from Euston to Crewe just to get the front windows but so worth the effort!

    Thanks to WCRC, Railway Touring Company and PRCLT for a fantastic trip.

    Guys, I have to say that so far all the photos and videos are making this trip yesturday simply stunning! Nice video there Ralph and its great around 2 mins 40 secs when your hear 6233 really start to dig in! Have to say I'm gutted actually that I wasnt able to come along but looks as though everyone had a cracking day and DoS looked and sounded in fine form as per usual and hopefully she'll be back promptly!
