If she performs satisfactorily tomorrow, Galatea may get another run....

Went out to watch her through Hartford, but as it was max dull and raining did not bother with the camera. Big mistake, she approached with the unmistakable Jubilee roar going like stink and well early. Some children on the platform were frightened and burst into tears. Passengers waiting for the Liverpool stopped gawped in amazement...
Mick Kelly obviously enjoying himself as well.

OH Ralph - ye of little faith ! Went to Euxton to catch it and the sun came out to greet the train albeit head-on light. Sounded as good Jubilees should and should give an excellent account of itself on the WCML; perhaps the joy of returning to a town where IIRC it was once shedded.

Into a very strong headwind, Leander makes an assured ascent of the bank past Marbury as she heads the "Salopian Express" over the border from Cheshire into Shropshire.

Footage of 45690 powering past a windy Nantwich heading for Shrewsbury this afternoon, then storming past Charnock Richard on the return at an easy 75mph on almost full power and with steam to spare.
