    Latest re 45231

The last I heard about 45231, before we were so rudely interrupted, was that they were throwing the fire out at Bell Busk on Sunday morning for lack of water.

Did it recover and will it be back on the Scarboroughs tomorrow (Tuesday)?

Peter, on a cloudy Manchester evening

I should imagine so yes, after they'd refilled at Bell Busk yesterday they continued the trip to Carlisle and made it to Carlisle and back to York on Sunday evening.

"Despite rumours to the contrary, 45231 is operating the S.S.E as booked."

Guess I must have missed it somewhere in the new setup - but what happened with 45231 to run out of water in the first place & where enroute did it take on more?
Can anyone fill in the gaps please ---

Had a good ride round the York to York circle this morning lovely sounds from 45231 on the 1in66 approach to Harrogate station.
Was well filled with pre bookings but we got 2 seats ok for the circle down towards the end of the train.

Good one, Stuart. Looks like the loco was working there - I guess it's the foot of the bank.

Indeed it is, 1-128 up to the site of Arthington North Junction, then 1-94 mostly through the tunnel for nearly 3 miles up to the summit.

I understand that 70013 is on duty next week, so Wednesday I'm doing the evening run from Leeds to York, anyone else planning to be on this one?

Ohh, i'm doing the following Wednesday Ralph... Well hope you have an enjoyable trip...

Well after getting the A level results this morning we ventured over to York in good time for the lunch time departure to Scarborough, it was a lovely ride although didn't do any filming as it was intended just to sit back with my friends and wind down a little. We ventured back well in time for the return as some of my friends had to be back but was a great trip all the same. Can also say that my departure from Steaming Around Yorkshire is rather definite now with only two more weeks to go.

Below is a photo from the this evenings clip.

I got my A in ICT, B in Med Sciences & C in Art, but I thought that C was exceedingly good to say my attendance for art was only 36%... :smt102

So it's up to Sunderland in 4 weeks now to study Secondary Education & ICT...
