Pathing was probably an issue at such short notice. Still, let's hope all goes well.

The first time we get an excursion on the ECML at the right time for the light and what happens..............we get fogged in.

Well at least you can't see the diesel on the back!

Seen HERE at Costa del Colton.

And you seriously think it's that easy to do just like that?

I noticed that, I wonder why it's not been resolved? Not a major issue but still, although she's still running on this trip today thankfully for those on board.

But it's not the Royal Train is it, clearly a rediculous thing to say under the circumstances of this trip but carry on with your more important stuff!

Any steam on the Mainline is worth getting out of bed for.

An A4 on the up main is always worth getting out of bed for. Lovely light. A couple of pints down the Peel afterwards? :)

My King's Cross photos so far. Not the best but bearing in mind the weather I was happy to get home with my camera still working!

Steam At King's Cross - a set on Flickr

Edited to add - a full 12 photos now included in the above set.

Out of interest what locomotive took over from number 7?
Does anyone know if it is still at Heaton or if it has gone back to NYMR?

In fairness I was at work til 6am and didn't get home til 7.30. Sadly no beer Ian, went to the exhibition, went home and cooked dinner, then back to work again!
