It was on there this morning as I checked to see if they were really going to take 6 hours York-KX for 2 1/2 hours in the capital before the run back, added to that the 15 hour Light engine move from Southall for Bittern. Was it really ever going to run?

Had a letter this morning saying it was cancelled due to "pathing difficulties", which would have meant a 5.15am start from Newcastle.

They just dont want to pay, or cant find a path to get 60019 up to the North East is more the like.

One trip a year using class 8 LNER loco down to London up in smoke, fantastic, 2 weeks before the event. And people wonder why frank gets upset at a shambles like this.

Message to RTC, if you cant hope to run it, dont advertise it, and certainly dont take money on the back of a fantasy.

To me once 60007 was unavailable, this tour was never going to happen, and offering 60019 both ways was proven to be an effort at filling seats, that since has proved to be a non worker as well.

Why advertise something, when the end result is way apart from the final offering........

Well the full timings are up on uksteam and showing a 7.02 departure with a 14.45 arrival at the cross, full 15 hour timings are also up for the light engine move, as you say it was never going to happen once steam had been cut from the return.
