Just a quick heads up to say that Tornado might be coming back via a different route as the overheads are down North of Bingley due to fallen trees.

Tornado 30 minutes late from Skipton, approached Settle station slowly 20mph, with the taps open only began to accelerate after the station?

When I drove past Crossflatts and Bingley station's this afternoon at about two-ish, both were cordoned off. I had a wander down to the footbridge over the bypass and line, just north of Bingley station and there were a number of lads in Hi-viz looking at a tree that had fallen across both tracks and taken the overhead cables with it.

I'll have another look later when the missus is watching XFactor and see if they've fixed it.

    cheers

    Mike

I found this while looking for info about the line closure at Shipley, I too am meant to be getting on at Leeds tommorow.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/8288621.stm

How do you cross a line? By a footbridge?

I will check in later to see if there have been any developments.

He's a shot of Tornado pulling out of Long Preston this morning after her water stop.

All seems to be guess work. I'm getting on at Donny tomorrow. Where's Tornado going if passing southbound at Armathwaite? Is it just electric trains cant run on Aire Valley line. If the tree cleared will we be ok for tomorrow ?

So is it at the junction? Does that mean Shipley/Skipton trains to return tomorrow? Or are they operating some sort of ltd service....

nothing stopping trains from leeds to bfd fs or leeds to shipley so thats the obvious point to run buses from. if the wires and the tree are cleared, nothing to stop diesel or steam in the morning.

Problem here of course is where 60163 will end up tonight with regard to tomorrow's working. We could do with a further update as to sightings of it on this evening's charter.
