Just had a look, impossible to do it from Doncaster or York from Wakey via train! What a great train service Yorkshire has! A +3 at York on the way back but a -14 on the way out and nowhere near for Donny!

Not the best of days out. Only saw T at Ribblehead on the outward leg, and video is not that good.
Could have been worse though, when I first arrived at R it was shrouded in mist and absolutley p.ing down.
    Maybe tomorrow, or next week

As I posted earlier that's just how she crawled through Settle in the morning, valves lifted but in that case taps open as well..

Whatever the problem is it started fairly early on, here she is twenty minutes out of York and already shrouded in steam.

I wonder what tomorrow will bring. :smt017

When I saw it southbound near Armathwaite it was doing about 30mph - no more.
The service train immediately ahead of it passed about one hour previously.
