With 11 on plus the 47 I have no doubt it will be given a shove, though there appeared to be nobody in the rear cab of the 47 when it passed us

That's good. Have RTC been listening to all us pure steam enthusiasts?

Very, very proud of my big brother that he couldn't recognise the class of diesel on the back. :):).

Just gone past Narroways Jn. Sounded good, but 57 clearly giving big shove at rear.

Two from me this morning. First at Beaulieu Road and the second at Dunbridge. The foot crossing at Dunbridge has recently been upgraded and for nearly 3 years, this location has been a no-go for me as there has been a 50mph speed restriction around that curve, with all trains shutting off as they approach the station. With the works complete, the speed restriction has now been lifted. I returned to the crossing for the first time since 2012, and wasn't disappointed! :)

Possibly eased off due to the Paddington - Cardiff HST not too far ahead of it. <BJ

I was surprised that there were just four of us poor souls photographing Tangmere passing through Sydney Gardens, Bath today.
With alterations to the trackwork and the onset of electrification 'improvements' about to commence, this scene will change dramatically from July. <BJ>

Had wondered about going over this am but was wondering how many more steam specials go through before the wires go up.

It looks as if there may be two more trips from Bristol to Weymouth on July 26 and August 2nd, both trips could still be cancelled. Doesn't look as if GWR engines would be in charge either.

RTT shows Tangmere arriving in the Magor area 30 mins late.

It's now likely to the follow the 17:30 Cardiff - Portsmouth. <BJ>

Looked to be going well at Limpley Stoke tonight, albeit about 10 mins late. By the sound of it, the 57 on the rear wasn't helping!
