A couple from the 21st ( with thanks to my cousin for lending me her comp) a little early on the trip to Kingswear after a problem just short of the top of the DSC04731a.jpg bank on the approach to Churston,a shove from the diesel soon sorted that!!

One shot passing Waterside on the home run and the other Paignton departure.

The acceleration of 71000 is most impressive.

I was out today hoping to film the Duke on the Torbay out and back, and hoping to catch the doubleheader with Tangmere and Britannia. First shot of 71000 was under dull grey skies, but the second was typical Torbay stuff! Blue sky, whistle blowing. Brilliant! I picked Dawlish Warren for the return of the duke thinking that it would be a good spot for the doubleheader.
News filtered through the lineside grapevine that they were late. Only to be expected after a late re-route, but then we heard that Tangmere had a cylinder failure. Lots of speculation followed but then the weather intervened. Heavy rain swept in and we swept off home! Hope that everybody got to Newquay ok and I hope Tangmere is not too damaged.

It was certainly going well in both directions. At least my holiday coincided with this and the ACE.

Despite the rain, the little park on the estuary was a pleasant place to spend a couple of hours waiting for the ACE!

One of the better Torbay's that I have been on for some time yesterday, good to see some old friends and also a good laugh too. Nice to have a Torbay almost with the same atmosphere of days gone by. Still not the same though........

Thanks to all involved for a good day out.
