Mate from Bristol sure he saw Tornado in steam in SPM this evening.

  2. Tornado was back at the Marsh a couple of days ago. Lit tonight for prep and FTR tomorrow for Torbay on Sunday.

46100 now on tomorrow's job, according to a member of crew on the 'Scot' today, the A1 failed it's FTR Exam, and the 4-6-0 is moving to St Phillips Marsh tonight from Southall ready to take up tomorrow's run to Kingswear.

Interesting change of the events as there was some doubt on 46100's involvement on the Belmond as there was an issue with the loco on the Friday. A busy weekend for the Scot then.

  5. Any sign of a move as yet?

It's difficult to tell sometimes with different codes for freight operators... might this be it on the approach to Chippenham? If so there must be a problem with RTT updating IMG_1244.PNG

Don't think so. According to RTT 5Z74 is a GWR service from Paddington to Bristol. HST ecs.

The path has been activated on RTT which I think means it's scheduled to run. Two and a half hours after it's departure time and no reports...not looking good:(.

Having done some research this time, reports on RTT of trains being cancelled on the Thames Valley due to a fatality.

  15. Oh crap. Lets hope they can still get through.

There were some cancellations but trains are running west of Reading now. A few were delayed but all running again according to RTT. Had info that the Scot had left Southall Depot a short time ago but not showing anywhere yet. If the past is anything to go by the A1 Group's engineering staff will try to rectify the problem. Fingers crossed.

They had to do some repairs to the Scot last night and then couldn't get them signed off. Engineering possessions trapped it anyway. Move cancelled on RTT late last night. No Scot. Off to Bristol more in hope than expectation that Tornado will be fit to run.
