Steam Dreams is going from KGX on Sunday to York with The Duchess. The paths for Tornado from Stewarts Lane to Wembley and back to KGX with the stock are all on RTT.

I gather that it is load 11 tomorrow so Tornado will not be overstretched. Looking forward to some lively running.

Yes, looking forward to a good day and hopefully seeing Alistair and David S again. Saw the Belmond today and she sounded really good.

Speeding effortless through Arlesey this morning and on the main for a change. Needless to say it was sunny when I left home and again when I got back to the car but not while 60163 was passing through. :(

Tornado has made mincemeat of the schedule to Chesterfield. Lively acceleration and speedy running. The departure from KGX was electric. It's not often you pass Finsbury Park in six and a half min. DBC crews and the loco have put on a fine show so far.

Fine start from the Cross indeed esp as speed reduced to 22 for turnout to down slow at Holloway.

OKM to ALF 81m 27s incl stops at Toton and Trowell Jn for EM 158. Max 74 at Saxby and 70 thro Melton. Max 70 before E Mids Pkwy. High level goods lines at Trent.

ALF to CHD 13m 29s. Accelerated all way to summit after MP 140, passed at over 60 mph. Max 67 at Clay Cross.

Could have done without moronic trespassers at Alfreton.

Apparently there was some gradient called Holloway Bank... Anyway, some sparkling running, passing through Melton at speed was enjoyable. Just wish all steam schedules on the Southern ECML were like this...
