    Oi!

I'll have you know we have a very nice Victoria down here. I was up there only yesterday helping place, "No Mushy Peas To Be Eaten On This Station" notices at strategic places.

Hope the tour goes ahead without a box tomorrow. From my walking friends I hear it is very dry up there.

You forgot the Black Pudding and Chorley Cakes...

Yes it has been dry up here for some weeks now, so as has been said it's likely Shap and Ais Gill will not see any record attempts.

Just been assembling the comestibles - plenty of Pimms and local Tunnel Ales, so if the fireworks are off at least it'll pass in a nice hazy blur ;)

I've just had an update from someone on board, 'Left Euston on time', so looks as if the system will be in full swing today...

No mate of mine....... one of three who arrived some time after me and in discusion with another videoer along side me, they all agreed to take their shot and then stand back, obviously the excitement of the moment made him forget, even with two cameras pointing at him.
    C'est la vie :eek:hwell:

about 80 mins down running into Blackburn

It was chasing a slow class 66 (66510) with a freightline coaltrain up towards Blackburn, so must have been behind this all the way on the S & C.

I was at Billington footcrossing and as the train pulled off whalley viaduct it was buzzed by a very low flying helicopter as it went past about 30 feet off the ground and it was a very dangerous bit of flying considering the proximity to houses.
