    I was asked by a member of the A1SLT whether I had been out photographing Tornado as Mark Allat was apparently looking for shot of it in the snow for the press. I sent over a couple of photos which in turn have been sent to the BBC, The Sun and I believe the Daily Mail.

    I should think the main problems were the difficulties people outside of london had joining the train, and the evening's trip being in the dark. As her recent trips to preserved lines and mainline charters have shown she is still a considerable crowd-puller despite it being well over a year since her return to steam
