So is that an insider hint, but no with the track alterations going on it would be more difficult to hold up platforms and traffic for an exit on the Harrogate line. Wouldn't it :-k

I had thought about this one actually, but i did think it would go via Church Fenton with the test run the other week, just my thought so don't go shooting me down people. It wouldn't surprise me to be honest if it does go around the Harrogate loop for the simple reason everyone is expecting it to go via Church Fenton now, didn't they send 6233 down some opposite line when it hauled the Royal Train all those years back now haha.

She went down to Milford then via Castleford to Leeds then back up via Cross Gates and Garforth but it didn't depart York till about 12 that day.

According to Prince Charles' diary, he has 3 engagements in Leeds and one in Leeming, no time for meandering about. My guess is direct to Leeds via MIcklefield

Just a thought, but where is "Tornado" coming from tomorrow?
ie If it arrives at York from the south then are they going to send 'im and 'er off to Costa for a latte while they turn the loco or just continue via Harrogate.

Where is "Tornado" at the moment and what direction is it facing?

Which way it faces at the moment is irrelevant - with the turning facilities available at York it can face whichever way Royal Protocal requires.

Regarding the clearences on the Harrogate loop, 60009 was OK in August 2007 but 6233 was not. Is it safe to assume that Tornado can go anywhere that Number 9 can go? Is it safe to assume that the loading guage has not changed in 18 months?

    It isn't now - M15 must've got 'im!

Perhaps he doesn't want the loyal serfs to see him and old horse face swanning around
