Maybe 4472 should see out her next 7 year certificate in grey with 4472 on one side, 60103 on the other and www.nrm.org.uk on the tender sides...

    With or without smoke deflectors?

Heard nothing to say it has'nt.

Thursday should be a good test for her, i think i read the 10 coaches plus 67 equates to load 14.

Lets hope the rest of the tests go as smoothly as everything has gone to date.

Makes you proud to be a covenantor when you see her on the mainline.

    Well done A1 Team!!!!

Just seen this clip on youtube, and wondered how many of the photters were arrested by the Railtrack Gestapo?
Listen to the station announcements as you watch!

Anyone know how to get hold of the new book "The Tornado Story" (as advertised on p106 of Steam Railway No.355)? No mention of it on the A1 website.

    Thanks.

I guess they are all focused on events in the USA at the Beeb and let this slip through!

Well, since they went to the trouble to bring it to my home town it would have been churlish not to go and see it!
Not seen one for over 40 years. Excellent job chaps.
Now then, when you've painted it, could you bring it back again? In daylight next time please!
By the way, my photographs were taken without flash, with a Canon compact, hand held, at down to a third of a second. Which just goes to prove that Canon's image stabilisation works!

I was going to go to the NRM next week, to see it. The NRM website does say that it will be there between 10-16 November. Can anybody confirm that this will be the case? I only ask as it will be a full day of travelling to see it!

Blackfive Many thanks for posting. What an awesome locomotive! This publicity must bring more power to 21st Century Steam! Well done to the A1 Trust and to all who record this magnificent locomotive's progress for us to see. =D>
