I haven't got the booking form in front of me, but the Covenantors AGM is at the Yorkshire Museum (York) on 13 December, followed by an unveiling of the new livery at the NRM.

    Don't believe gossip...

Department for Transport are in charge of operating licences, not NR.

You would not be stripped of a licence for speeding...

And it would cover all areas of business, not a sub-sector of part of a business...

Anyway, wouldn't speeding only result in a driver suspension for a single offence not a whole company striped?

Haven't heard that one, but the driver, traction inspector, VAB engineer and the owner's rep would have had to have been incredibly stupid to do that sort of thing on something as high profile as that test.

Allegedly something to do with the records downloaded from the Class 67's black box indicating a very much higher speed than that permitted. No doubt they'll decide that the black box was faulty and that will be the end of that.
As for rumors of EWS loosing their charter license... Some people will believe anything.

Makes more sense a 10% variation.

If EWS have lost their steam Safety Case, who operated the Yuletyde Torbay Express yesterday? That has always been an EWS job and I don't think even West Coast could put crews etc. in place at about 24 hours notice, especially as they already had one or two jobs yesterday (don't know who Railway Touring ended up using on Bath train).

Hmm good point Bean-counter, also EWS have currently got several jobs booked with Tornado apparently so far.
