I don't think that any other railways will be crapping themselves at the thought of this lot opening up in competition, although they might be wetting themselves after seeing some of their antics !
Publishing a video of what is a serious breach of health & safety is beyond belief.

  2. Reading a business plan put together by this chap. with his random approach to capitalisation and grammar, would be interesting...

I have read exactly the same kind of sentiments many times from people, including more than once on this forum, who have their pipe dream and simply don't want to hear anything other that "What a brilliant idea. Here's my time and money." To them, everyone else is an enemy.

I never took this 'scheme' seriously in the first place. Even less so now.

He really doesn't. He threatened one of my friends with libel for repeating something Mr Dale had already posted. A charming way to introduce yourself.

I doubt that anyone other than CD has sabotaged the efforts ...
Having said that, it was not unknown for the "locals" to be less than welcoming to the narrow gauge railway when it initially re-opened ... I remember at least one morning in that first summer when the early train arrived to find the platform seat(s) and/or other material on the track !

I didn't realise they could only use hand tools (according to a Facebook post) as a term of the licence / lease, so publishing a video of a 360 in the 4 foot / 6 foot possibly wasn't the greatest idea

I posted it on the FB thread, and I'll post it here. Could you imagine the chairman or directors of any preserved railway in the U.K. Acting like this lot and posting similar stuff on their Facebook sites!! They don't seem to have a clue.

Attempted coup. Tiny mistake. Takeover. Stealing the project. No Fraud. Big smokescreen.

OK. Seem legit. I'll get my cheque book out ... (not)

just all those capitals would put me off...it's a dead duck which isn't a surprise but what repercussions will be felt by the next crew wanting to lease a line from NR? A lot of damage done here.

If it wasn't so serious with regard to future projects and their own relationships with NR, one might well just sit back and open the popcorn. Those involved should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. Talk about bringing the movement into disrepute. Now that the media have got a sniff, who knows where it will end?

Oddly enough I had the same thought. I wonder if it's because Trump and Dale are roughly the same age - I know there are lots of 70+ men who are literate, but many do seem to have trouble with grammar and capitalisation when online.

(There are other members of the railway posting on FB who just come across as semi-literate, bullying and aggressive to anyone who raises any questions, unfortunately)

It would seem that the railway enthusiast world is regarded as being full of kind hearted, generous folks who will fund or give their time for new schemes and restorations, viable or hair brained.
Road transport - a far less complicated place - is where my money goes. ;)

Well done to Stuart Reeder for getting the official Network Rail comment.
