    Wasn't ther rumours a while back that they wanted to use parts of a Turkish 8F to restore the 48518 that was cannibalised for some of the GWR New Builds because its the only surviving 8F built at Doncaster. As I said I think it was a rumour in one of the Magazines so it may not be true.

    Although they weren't heading for Turkey my Uncle has seen the sucken 8Fs on a scubba diving holiday.

    Hello Dan,

    I take it you mean the two off of the Thistlegorm?. There are more than two 8Fs on the sea bed :(.
