All went very well with both test-runs today.

Lizzie is fit and ready for her attack on Shap AND S&C in a weeks time!

A very successful couple of test runs. No problems at all, and 6201 performed well. This was the first steam working on the North Warks since the new resignalling was commisioned at the end of last year. The boxes at Shirley, Henley and Bearley were ripped down with indecent haste, and all the semaphores confined to history. Much of the GW character has gone. I am led to believe this was also the first run round at SoA under the new arrangements. The big advantage now is that we can run into all of the platforms. So first steam arrival direct into Plat 3 (LE move), and Plat 2 (ECS). There are now extra blocks at Wood End, and Henley is never 'switched out', so pathing is much easier. Congratulations to 6201 gang & TLW on a job well done. Thank you for letting me 'out to play'. AT.

As long as you don't make a habit of it!

Its going to be tough summer in the kitchen if we continue to be that early on every trip!

The LEGEND didn't even get a chance to build up his fire on the return. Or so we've heard over and over and over again tis week. lol!
