I assune that the updates are from you Jane, if so thanks very much, there were about 20 people where I was near Wrenbury and all appreciated the information.
Video processing at the moment but not too good, conditions very gloomy and damp and bad leak from LHS wiped out the exhaust noise. :eek:hwell:

Apparently shes running late again, and there are problems ahead at Birmingham International with trains being delayed because of a signalling problem. Are there any more updates from anyone???

Was a great sight despite the VERY late running, always love to see mainline steam in Shropshire!

I caught the 16:45 from Wolverhampton which was start stop from new St. Our train manager kept bleating over the P/A that we were "following a steam train ..."

Was that on the return run Lewis? DoG was certainly going well there despite the steam leak.

Thanks for the updates Jane and it sounds like you have had a good day so far.

A couple of shots of the Duke today - between Wrenbury and Whitchurch on the outward leg and then between Shrewsbury and Wellington on the return leg. Sadly a grey, damp day in Shropshire.

Sounds like a great trip! Here is 71000 at Ansty on the outward run trying to outrun a Pendolino that followed at walking pace just a few seconds behind it, and secondly the return through Coventry, which was obviously going to be through platform 2, but the staff insisted platform 1. And yes, in the end, it was platform 2!

(PS what a funny shape this video is! I've no idea why)
