This is looking like a classic ha'p'orth of tar situation. An excellent operation in most respects, spoilt for some customers by (a) a fault, (b) reportedly the company's failure even to acknowledge a complaint, let along apologise for it and provide compensation, plus possibly (c) having got the aircon working, failure to confirm that the fault is reliably fixed. I admit that it can be difficult to deal with a fault that comes and goes but, as long as there is any doubt about something as important as aircon in a coach without opening windows, that coach should not be carrying paying passengers in hot weather. A Mark I with windows that do open can be bad enough in hot weather (and was, for some people yesterday).

I also emailed Saphos - no acknowledgement received and I'm not holding my breath.
