    Does anyone know the actual date this hunslet loco was built in 1895 and whatever happened to the Vaenol loco nameplates. I was told once that at least one is in the National slate museum.

    You could try contacting Statfold Barn as they have the Hunslet records. They should be able to tell you the exact build date. Ray.

    It left the Hunslet works on the 20th Sept 1895

    It had been renamed by June 1909 but the exact date has not yet been discovered
