    Hi Ben,

Looking at the two Welsh Marches tours, is the plan to use REG on both of them, and will there be a long non-stop section if so ?

    Many thanks

The plan is to use the GUV on both Welsh Marches - 122 miles non-stop if we get the same paths as previous (and I do not see why we shouldn't) PLUS the added bonus of Steam on the Stour!

    Cheers!

Ben, I'll be keen to go on "The City of New Orleans" - will you be making a southbound stop at Kankakee?

Drat, was looking forward to seeing 5043 painted in Illinois Central livery :)

... and to playing cards with the old men in the club car, of course

Possibly not ! The timings for the 18th will differ, due to the water carrier. But I am hoping for the same to !

Not sure if the carriers actually needed, dunno about the coast, but it's possible to do Carnforth - Carlisle via Shap on one tank.

And we will be taking (heavy?) water at Sellafield, so I imagine the times will be roughly the same. No water-carrier on this one.

City of New Orleans is now confirmed for 11th April. It's primarily a shake-down run for 5043 after the Winter Maintenance (nothing major), but we will be taking passengers for a cruise along the Mississippi Delta...I mean the East Midlands / Leicester circular route.

    http://www.tyseleylocoworks.co.uk/tours/tr_2015_0411us.htm

We plan to depart Tyseley just before noon on Saturday and return at 16:30-ish. Picking up at Coleshill also.

£99.00 per person in Premier Dining
£39.00 per person in Standard Class, but we will throw in a free cup of tea!

Ben, for the Liverpool trip on 25th April, is it planned for a diesel to be attached (at one end or the other) throughout? I think this happened on the previous Liverpool trip with 5043.
