Zero. If you can't get OEM support, it won't fly. It's the withdrawal of OEM support that's grounding '558.

Loads of hacked off spectators around Sheffield.......no show, different route taken with helicopter filming. Let's hope tomorrow is OK, weather permitting.

Flying at under 1000 feet a lot of the time I guess she was under the radar quite a bit, and I found with the planefinder site, it needed refreshing as in some cases it continued to show a straight track which was a extrapolation of the last know height and direction. then when you refreshed she vanished only to appear further on when refreshed again. At Knutsford she turned onto the glide path to Manchester airport following a either a 747 or 380 in, didn't bother to land though, just swung away and continued to Woodford. From my location saw her three times, but all a bit to far away to bother attempting pics or video.

Mentioned briefly on their Twatter feed, technical problems related to their location kit which they hope to sort out before tomorrow.

    Ah, good point! Lol.

When I did a search to find the number of the one at Cosford I didn't notice the RAF Museum website was listing the London one, not Cosford!

    We'll try "XM598" instead then! ;)

Looking at the many videos posted on YouTube today it is astonishing and quite moving to see how many people turned out to see her on her farewell tour. I can't decide where to go tomorrow. My digital barometer is showing a wet day for tomorrow. Will this mean it's off? I hope not.

They did the same thing last Sunday as well, missed off a large chunk of the planned route so they could do unadvertised air to air photography over Rutland water instead - and they wonder why people will go to Doncaster to see the take offs and landings!

Is the 'plane doing any kind of display / series of fly pasts at each marked point, or are they literally just staging points on a single trip with its just passing overhead?

Apparently it arrived early at East Midlands and although ATC were keeping things clear, a light aircraft came into the way needing to land due to low fuel, causing XH558 to divert off. East Midlands Airport's twitter feed has a number of apologies from them. There's a photo floating around social media which shows the light aircraft with the Vulcan visible in the distance behind it.

Just single fly pasts, albeit fairly low level.

Seems we were in a good spot then seeing her do a 90 deg turn followed a few minutes later by a near 360...

One pic taken over Chat Moss, not mine, credit to Jeff Nicholls, as you can see quite low.

Sixty years ago these two types were being constructed alongside each other at Woodford. The Vulcan and the Anson at Old Warden last Sunday.

I think that photo for me encapsulates the fascination of the Vulcan: a plane that has the appearance of being on the dawn of the space age, yet designed in the era of the slide rule and pencil and paper drawings.
