    Fantastic to hear that we'll get to see Scotsman in a different guise, but where's the consistency? Does it need deflectors with the double chimney, or not? Does this magic black paint provide additional uplift that helps clear the drifting exhaust?

    As I read the it - the deflectors were to be fitted for mainline tests - running in, minus the deflectors, was to be on a preserved railway. Best of both worlds?

    I suggest a compulsory levy of £10 per head on all the paint frothers on here to help out GWSR. A coat of paint won't fix their problems!
