    Lovely picture Robin but not quite true about the first east bound steam in 50 years - it is only 10 years since the last one. On 30/6/07 I was the guard on an engine and POB move from Castleton to York with "Tangmere". By running round its coach in Bradford and then going tender first from there to York it was facing the right way for working a Steam Dreams to London that afternoon. Still a very rare working though.

    Just as an observation, the main reason these fabulously executed images look so attractive within the autumn colours and landscapes is because the loco is red? Arguably a BR green loco would not have the same impact?
