    Hello all,

Restoration-work has been progressing on WD196 "Errol Lonsdale". We 've had some good news from the boiler-inspector . Besides 4 rows of crown stays that have to be replaced, there are no additional remarks. At the moment we 're preparing the tubes. All updates can be followed on the facebook-page or on the Stoomcentrum-blog . On the blog you'll have to click on "Hunslet Austerity" .

    Hello All,

WD196 was out in the sun again a few days ago. The boiler inspector came along for an unofficial visit and was happy with the result. The boiler was slowly steamed to 70psi and was looking good. We have to do a few more steamings, slowly rasing the pressure and let the boiler settle before the next hydrolic test to get the official OK from our inspector.
The old wood of the station roof being refurbished in the background was a very tasty appetiser for firebox :)
The loco won't be ready for our annual Steam festival 1,2 and 3rd of may 2015, but progress will be visible in the workshop.
