No change at the present moment - except for the usual reminder that priority for seating should be given to members of the general public.

Future entitlements are still under review - to take into account the full opening of the railway...

We travelled on Sunday in the sun - the bark of 87 out of Beddgelert and thrash up through the Forest was fantastic. Smiles on every single passenger's face. Chatted to a few local people on the train all of whom were very impressed and wanted to see it succeed. One lady had come out by herself for the day as she often does, just to see the railway getting better each time. Another large family party had treated themselves to a trip in the Observation Car (it's amazing, BTW, and the views are great for everyone in the front 12 seats - perfect for a modern-thinking tourist railway) because they all had lived locally and wanted to visit Beddgelert again.

The bicycle wagon is a nice touch. I hope that more people use it to get into Beddgelert and the Pass as a starting point for outdoor activities - that to me seems like a big potential growth market. Beddgelert was heaving with tourists and cars - would be nice to get them on to the railway.

PS Think we saw Mr Dimmick out with your camera by the lineside...

We (my family and I) stayed at the Beddgelert Forest Campsite for the easter weekend. Whilst we did not ride the WHR, we did admire it from the campsite and Beddgelert. The double heading first train on Saturday was amazing, my photo attempts were nothing to the photographs linked from this discussion.

Mr Dimmick, If you were the driver of the red estate car that was driving erratically above the campsite on Saturday, you should have a little bit more respect for others. I understand that you might want to photograph the train in various locations, but you were on the same roads that my children and others were walking on.

    Uh-oh...

On another note, I think I am going off Garrets! I used to be obsessed with them but now I'm not, is weird! Wont stop be visiting WHR mind, just looking foward to an NGG-15 or something instead, still admire the NGG-16s though! Anywho just thought I'd mention it! Looks lovely, glad the locals are using it too, actually servicing the reason it got all that grant money I guess! Well done! (Thats not sarcastic or synical or anything just incase someone jumps down at me for it! Just saying you know..its good that its actually being used for the purpose it was funded to be used for...is a good thing!)

From what we saw over the weekend all the trains were reasonably full, I hope that continues.

Sorry, not me - I was (rather frustratingly) 'office-bound' on Saturday...

Don't worry we only have Garratts ;-).

Sadly this will not happen as NGG15s don't exsist, the extra G stands for Garratt ;-).

Well thanks for correcting me! I realised my spelling mistakes and G-based errors when I posted it but didn't edit my post! Thank you for correcting me though! Sorry I made a mistake!

The team working on NG15 no. 134 have a website: http://ng15-134.co.uk

They aren't working to a specific target date, but there's quite a bit of momentum building up, and the work done on the loco so far hasn't revealed any unexpected nasty surprises.

I think the NG15s are beautiful! Noticed an NG15-ish looking locomotive in the recent Garden Rail and the throught did cross my mind....

What is happening with No 133 (I think)???

Expect no. 133 to remain in the bay platform at Dinas for some time yet. There's a deliberate policy of not using parts from it to get 134 going, as 133 was the more complete of the pair when received (but 134 had been overhauled more recently), and there probably isn't anything that 133 has got and 134 hasn't that wouldn't need remaking from new for 134 anyway (sorry, multiple negatives!). Aside from perhaps a fresh coat of paint sometime, 133 probably won't get touched until there's operational experience with 134 on which to base overhaul plans.

Any skilled hands would be greatly received in the restoration of 134 please contact me if you are interested.
When finished it will be the loco for the WHR.

I think that the sooner 138 is back in traffic then the effort can be put in to to the NG15, but of course that makes too much sense.....
