It's called dedication. Or in my case, sheer stupidity. I've travelled as far as Cynghordy for shots that were ruined by the weather and got nothing in the end.

hey mate, so have I and many more like me, last one 430 miles round trip to Abington, Beattock in driving wind and pouring rain, (identical to my previous visit) its what may look good in your mind does not on video, and 2 x black 5@s = class 10 power, so cannot expect to much pyrotechnics.

Yes, I know it was super-powered, but they couldn't take many risks with allocating too little. I don't think I need to remind anyone here about the Standard 4 tanks around 10 years ago... Better have too much power up front and not working that hard compared to having too little and stalling and not getting there at all or very late (in two portions). I got some nice thrash out of them on my videos.

Richard, Nice shots there and looking at you first photo, I was in the field on the other side of the line probably directly opposite you....

Yes you were -- I saw you arrive and have a wander around looking for your spot. I was tucking into my picnic at the time. That panning shot you did was super.

I think Richard was very restrained - a 10 year wait and the wind blows the wrong way.

There again - Anglo Saxon probably isn't very popular up there

Indeed. Just as well that I also speak the local lingo. My grandfather came from that part of the world (well, Penmachno).
