As further evidence of that spirit. The plc Board generously agreed to include the Association's Membership Leaflet in their AGM papers which were recently sent out.

  8. On t'other side of the coin, WSRA kindly distributed the Company-operated Quantock Belle leaflets with their most recent Journal mailing.

I thought it looked more like a prediction of what time it was going to rain at various places.

  11. Thanks for another chance to plug my website, Tony ;)

Yes and Yes in answer to your question...see "Loco Roster" under "Plan a visit" on top menu bar of www.wsr.org.uk for a couple of clues...

Excellent. I will have to plan a trip down soon. She was in excellent form at the GWSR gala last weekend.

Talking of your website, Steve, is there any reason why AB 1219 isn't in the resident steam locos list?

  17. One very good reason Dave - my brain (what's left of it) :) I must attend to that page ASAP.

  18. The cherry on the cake (or perhaps strawberry on the scone) is that the 2.47 pm Dinmore Manor hauled service from Minehead that day conveys the Quantock Belle serving cream teas for a fiver, no need to book.

Non-dining First Class seats also available for a £2 supplement.

    Both absolute bargains of course.

Looks excellent. At the risk of appearing pedantic why GWR rather than WSR? Were there boards there in the GWR days? Just curious. Talking of historical accuracy have there been any developements re the roof pitch at Crowcombe?

Now I'll bet you wouldn't ask why the locos have GWR not WSR painted on the side......:)
