I do have vague recollections of a camping coach somewhere close to there , this was in BR days .I'm sure I will be corrected if I'm wrong .

Maybe Robin's talk of creating a croquet lawn at the bottom of her garden is just a cover story....

Due to operational reasons, the 10.20 Bishops Lydeard to Minehead service tomorrow will be diesel hauled. This is a great opportunity to see one of our home fleet diesels in action! At this moment in time, all other services are set to remain as previously advertised. We shall keep you updated on any changes through our social media platforms as and when we get them.

I don't think it would, I came past firing Dinmore Manor today and looked, it doesn't seem to block the crews view, I was on the cattle dock side and the curve lets you see the crossing both across the top of the tender and over the side as it rounds the bend. The other side (driver in this case) would have a clearer view as it rounds the bend. The run up to the crossing could be blocked but the crossing and its immediate approach is clear.

Fair enough. I was told when visiting last year (and I commented that a camping coach would be ideal) that the PLC didnt want anything at the cattle dock for sighting reasons.

Fair comment but I which case why the project to renew the dock and lay the rails? AIUI the plan was/is to install points as well. Maybe someone can clarify matters.

Unfortunately one of our steam engines has suffered a mechanical breakdown this morning. Therefore some of our services will be hauled by a diesel locomotive today. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.

Seem to be having a bad week.

I've just seen a black Manor leave BL nearly an hour late on the web cam so couldn't make out the identity so it seems they are doing well in the game of catch up .

44422 is replaced by D1661 on the diagram which started at MD this morning. D6575 is also piloting 7820 on the BL diagram.

The loco roster had 6960 down to operate today so I don't know if there is perhaps something wrong with the Hall. 7820 is on the Hall diagram instead with Diesel pilot.

    Fri 30 Jun 2017
GWR 4-6-0 no 6960 Raveningham Hall
    Diagram starts at Bishops Lydeard
    LMS 0-6-0 no 44422
    Diagram starts at Minehead
    Class 115 Diesel Multiple Unit

I expect there is a problem with the Hall as it was replaced by D1661 on Wednesday.

Sad news that John Irven has resigned as Chairman of the WSR PLC with immediate effect. He has contributed a huge amount to the railway and will be sorely missed.

Any info on why, or is it personal reasons?
