Air Cons in the formation would get stuffy with no air getting through.

How did the run to BF go? Anyone on here on board for it?

Although I wasn't on the 'Western Slater' I was there for its arrival in Blaenau Ffestiniog and - seeing as no-one else has replied...

...I would imagine the run along the Conwy Valley went well - as 'Western Champion' rolled into Blaenau Ffestiniog bang on time at 13:05

Don't want you to think that Blaenau is permanently grey - ;) - so here are some colour shots...

Nice to see some pics at Blaenau - amazing how varied the maroon livery looks under different lighting conditions.

Here's D1015 at Didcot on Sunday working the ECS back to Eastleigh

The Driver complained that the run up to Blaenau was "a bit too easy" compared with other traction that he has taken up there. Top day out, D1015 on form as usual.

I was on board the train and although I was near the back of the train for the climb it was a superb effort,no problem at all.Superb fast running, some spectacular restarts, just what we expect from 1015.
My video of the day will be up later in the week as computer playing up at the moment.

Thanks to everybody involved in making the tour happen.
