    I said I could dream.....

Pathfinder used to do overnight tours with day stock,I went to Aberdeen on one,Stranraer with 33s and a Grid.

I know its not possible but fun thinking about it. If I have to be sensible, get another 20 hired in to go with the Tyseley one(when its ready) and go to Skeggy.

Would that be the Tyseley 20 now based at SVR,currently under reapair at Washwood Heath and according to its owners not going mainline?
There are other mainline certified preserved 20s but whether the owner(s) and TOC (s)can work together........

You obviously have a greater knowledge of these things than me, I said in my first post,"well I can dream", it wasn't meant to be taken as serious as you have done.Lighten up,I dont care who supplies the 20s or any locos,I just want "proper locos" not GM rubbish. Having done a good proportion of 1015s 50 rail-tours you can see where my allegiance lies.
Maybe as 1015 is being worked on at Tyseley its first trip back could start from there, to say, Birkenhead? Or 1015 from Paddington to Tyseley then 5043 forward to Birkenhead?

We are itching to get D1015 on a combo steam/diesel tour... The posibilities are endless!

I am pretty sure we are going to have to wait for spring 2012 though.

I am amazed at the support the 20's are getting! I think they are simply awfull, underpowered, ugly things, but to each his own. (I think my girlfriend is beautiful! LOL)

We have a plan in the planning stages that could well utilise one (or maybe a pair of) 20's on a tour. It will be later this year (Sept/Oct) if we can pull it off.

    Watch this space!

Have you got a rake of MGR's or cement wagons to put behind them? :)

I hope for your sake that you are not implying that others might think you girlfriend is "a simply awfull, underpowered, ugly thing". :biggrin1:
