What Kind/grade of steel is used in the boiler of a steam loco?

    Depending if it's a stress it could well be N/mm2 on the SI as I imagine N/m2 would be rather large. (thinking on lines of stress so dont take exact word for it)

    The British standard is now eurocode

    BS EN 10028-7:2000

    Having the same with the switch on civils side being the first year taught only eurocode.
