If you want a HST as current and one with a Paxman Valenta engine you will need 3 power cars as the MML fleet have Paxman VP185 engines, and what about the ones that had Mirrless engines? Or do you think as Paxman and Mirrless are both now owned by MAN. As are English Electric, Ruston and so on. Do you think 2 power cars will be enough?
Who would of thought back in the brave new world of 1976, not only would all of the HST fleet be running with German engines by now, but Maybach engines would once again be powering west county top link express trains

You could have two power cars but keep spare engines/running gear in store if you wanted to re-engine them?

I don't normally get involved in debates about paint, as they are largely superfluous, as long as the item is running. In this case there is only 1 livery it could be & that's the original flying banana.
