My apologies :)... I thought watching the video it looked a bit wet.

the steward did say one run did it at 40mph.. I guess it was yours, either way... Neither that trip or mine did it seem like it was a struggle.

No problem :) the past 5 runs bode well for a good finale on Saturday hopefully, although sadly the weather forecast is dreadful.

Would love to see, Well Several people were hoping for the Scot A few weeks ago. I'd be all for Guardsmen, Galatea, Leander or Sutherland next year but that is just me.

One thing that I really like about this years series is that the same locomotive has been used for all of the tours. It isn't as though some got this locomotive or that. Everyone got the same deal, which is good from my point Not that it makes much of a big deal from the public view.

Yeah Mike(me) be the big talker that you are. Ha Ha.

Since it was make clear after the first couple of runs that No 9 would continue the duty meant that everbody travelling got the same deal, and those wishing to be out photting knew that they could use different locations, thus getting a much greater selection of shots of an A4 at work....

This has proved to be a very successful series, rather like the Fellsman during the Summer months. Some packages just work very well for all concerned, the tricky part is developing new packages that work equally well or better in order to maintain business momentum. The tour operators will be creative, no doubt (all entertainment requires a little refreshment from time to time). And on the subject of entertainment I wonder what Number 9 is going to do tomorrow? Could be a grand finale, poor coditions have not proved to be a hindrance so far but it may well be better just to finish the series quietly and successfully. However, this is U.of S.A. being discussed .................

Just leaving carnforth a couple of minutes down, think due to a late running voyager which passed us a second ago

Just arrived at Carlisle. Spirited run on a route I haven't done before. Must remember to bring a hat next time though, bitterly cold. Speed around 44mph at shap on my mates app.
