    This superb restored 2ft gauge line in Maine (http://www.wwfry.org/) has recently extended into some lovely thickly forested scenery (and evidently impressive gradients!) on it's 'Mountain Section', disused since 1933. This looks like a fantastic railway (and no it's NOT a 'railroad'). I'll let this clip [34'24"] speak for itself:
