N7 with 5x Mk1 departs Cheddleton 1032
DMU departs Froghall 1030

Saturday Evening there is a Rail Ale "Troop" Train
Pre-booking NOT required, Tickets £8/person (£3 with valid Rover Ticket)
Departs Cheddleton 1930 for 2x rund trips along CVR
Loco is N7 on 7x Mk1s as also includes Dining Set.

 

Just a reminder of the RAT tonight.

No booking required, simply turn up on the night.

£8/person, or £3 with a valid Rover Ticket for the weekend. See anyone there as I'm going down for the ride (can't drink as firing tomorrow).

 

This Saturday Diner has now been cancelled due to low bookings.

N7/33 still rostered to Top/Tail Cauldon services this weekend though, with 3x return trips to Ipstones on offer.

 

Cauldon services THIS Weekend (Sat + Sun), ft N7 & 33102 TnT.
Bank Holiday Monday sees N7 running 3x return trips along CVR.

 

Model Railway Day & Classic Car Rally this Sunday.

Sadly CVR services are diesel hauled this weekend, thought Beyer Peacock 1827 will be in steam offering Brake Van rides.

Try and put a positive outlook on the fact the main services are not steam hauled, and it will sound more attractive to potential customers.

 

I've just had it confirmed today the the N7 will be working the services to Ipstones SOLO this coming Saturday.

Sunday the Dining set will be included, meaning the requirement for a 33 banker.

 

Supper Train on June 18th now cancelled.

New Event now added on June 23rd, to help with the launch of "Project 28 Appeal"

Also a joint event between CVR, "The Inland Watersway Association" and "Caldon and Uttoxeter Canals Trust" is being held on Thursday July 24th to clear Himalayan Balsam around the area South of Consall.

Commencement of summer midweek services tomorrow, including an Afternoon Cream Tea service.

Due to a fault found during a routine inspection, the N7 has been withdrawn for repairs and 33102 is now rostered for these services to CVR GREEN Timetable.

 

Is the N7 expected to be repaired in time for the "Anything Goes" gala at the weekend?

 

Repairs completed this evening, Test Run tomorrow. Should be ok for the weekend.

Still a few more weeks left, it will get a final run before it is withdrawn probably over the 12/ 13th of July which is the CVR beer festival.
